5 Foods That Fool You - Be Alert

You can be wondering how do my food fool me? This is a world of social revolution where social media influence is more on what you eat and how you eat. Most of the times it so happens that the food you choose to be healthier paves way to a much unhealthier diet. So its time recheck your list of food habits so that you are not fooled.

Gluten free foods:
Gluten is a general name for the proteins found in wheat (wheatberries, durum, emmer, semolina, spelt, farina, farro, graham, and einkorn), rye, barley and triticale – a cross between wheat and rye. Gluten helps foods maintain their shape, acting as a glue that holds food together. 
For health reasons these days people seem to choosing gluten free foods through which unknowingly they loose other vitamins and minerals like vitamin D , vitamin B12, calcium ,iron and magnesium.
So Gluten free foods is never a recommended choice for the healthy ones.

Energy Drinks:
Energy drinks are being increasingly marketed on the criteria that they develop  stamina, help reduce weight and improve health through herbal ingredients etc ., Youngsters of today fall easy prey to the advertisements and filmy spot lights regarding these energy drinks.
But in actual fact they are nothing but a mixture of unhealthy ingredients like sugar, sweetening agents, citric acid etc.,
Increased use of these are known to be causing sleeplessness, headache, breathing difficulties and more.
Pure water and fresh juice is recommended over such energy drinks in real.

Flavoured Yoghurt:
Yoghurt is a food produced by bacterial fermentation of milk. The bacteria used to make yogurt are known as "yogurt cultures". Yogurt naturally contains around 16 gms of milk substance known as sugar lactose.But in flavoured ones, we find more sugar in the form of artificial sweeteners which in turn raises the calorie level. So its always a better choice to go with plain yoghurt along with  fruits or honey added for natural sweetening.

Salad Dressing:
Salads prove to be one of the finest methods to include more vegetables in our diet. As these vegetables contain variety of vitamins and fibres , consuming them becomes an absolutely necessity.
In order to improve the taste , we often use salad dressings which actually curb the intention of having vegetables itself. This is because if the artificial agents and sweeteners contained in those dressings.
So its always a better option to go with a combination of olive oil and lemon juice,instead of such artificial stuffs.

Brown Sugar:
Brown sugar is simply white sugar mixed with molasses. Therefore, brown sugar can hold its shape like wet sand, while white sugar cannot.Molasses present in brown sugar do contain dietary potassium but they won't be able to meet your daily needs. Also the calorie content in both the brown and white sugar is the same.So how can it be more healthy? The fact is brown or white , always limit your sugar intake to stay healthy.
