Peace lily

This is one of the most beautiful and easy to grow indoor plant. Peace lilies are known to improve air quality, removing formaldehyde, benzene, and carbon monoxide from the surrounding air.
Also note that all parts of the peace lily plant contain calcium oxalate. So Keep peace lilies out of reach of small children and pets.

Snake plant (Mother in LAw's Tongue)

A series of experiments conducted by NASA concluded that this plant could remove toxins such as formaldehyde, xylene, toluene, and nitrogen oxides. Due to this property , not only at home, it is always beneficial to grow this plant in automotive plants and shops, aircraft plants, plywood, carpeting, paint makers and sellers, printing, and offices, where these chemicals abound in the products produced and used.15 to 18 medium-to-large sized snake plants are recommended for a 1800 square foot home.

Boston Fern

If you are looking for a hanging air purifying indoor plant, then Boston fern is your right choice. It is  very effective at removing formaldehyde and also adds humidity to the indoor environment.

Weeping Fig(Ficus)

Ficus tree or Weeping fig is effective at cleansing airborne formaldehyde, xylene and toluene. Its a low maintainence plant that grows well both indoor and out doors. As per the reports it removed 47% formaldehyde, 30% benzene and 12% trichloroethylene from air.

Bamboo Palm

English Ivy

According to NASA’s Clean Air Study, English Ivy is effective at cleansing benzene, formaldehyde, xylene and toluene from the air. Additionally, other studies have indicated that English Ivy also helps reduce mold in your home.

This evergreen climbing vine is extremely popular in outdoor landscaping. But it is always better to grow them as indoor plants as they dont let other plants to grow when they outdoor. 

Dragon Tree (Dracaena Marignata )

They can be grown as table plants, but they are especially impressive as tall trees with multiple canes and hundreds of long, thin, green leaves trimmed in dark red. 
According  to the NASA report , a 7581 leaf surface area of dracaena marginata is capable of removing 20469 micrograms of formaldehyde from air which shows the importance of it in your indoors.

Janet Craig (Dracaena deremensis)

Janet craig is native to tropical Africa,and are one of the most popular plants used in homes and offices.This is the best indoor plant you could ever find to remove formaldehyde from air.
As per the NASA reports  15275 sq cm of this plant removes 48880 micrograms of formaldehyde and around 77% of benzene from air.

Devil's Ivy (Golden Pothos)

This is the easiest , most carefree indoor plant you could ever ever grow. If you are a person who finds it to difficult to water a plant or give the the right amount of sunlight , or shade or is always occupied with works travelling abroad then this is the right choice for you.
